RACE UPDATE APRIL 26, 2008 – NASCAR WHELEN SERIES-
ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY, ROSEVILLE, CA

Bumbera scored her second top five finish in 2008 with a fourth place finish in Roseville. In only her second race at All American Speedway Bumbera put the #00 TXI-Riverside Cement Chevrolet on the front row just .07 seconds off of the pole position.

KRISTIN BUMBERA HAS SUCCESSFUL 
NASCAR GRAND NATIONAL SERIES DEBUT

HOUSTON, TX (APRIL 20, 2008) Kristin Bumbera and her #40 TXI-MAXIMIZER CONCRETE Chevrolet made their NASCAR Grand National Division debut in the Allstate Texas Thunder 150 in Kyle, TX as the only female driver in the race and the only driver from the Lone Star state. Bumbera, the “Texas Girl” as she has become known, was one of the most popular drivers of the night as many of the Texas fans have watched her race since she was eight years old.

KRISTIN BUMBERA TO MAKE NASCAR GRAND NATIONAL SERIES DEBUT SATURDAY APRIL 19TH IN HOME STATE OF TEXAS

Houston, TX – April 14, 2008     Texan Kristin Bumbera is ready to welcome the NASCAR Camping World Grand National Division to her home state of Texas but don’t think she’ll be serving sweet-tea to her fellow competitors.  Instead, Bumbera will be competing against some of the toughest and best men in the sport as the third race on the schedule lands in the center of the Lone Star state.  Bumbera will not have far to travel for this weekend's race.  Thunderhill Raceway in Kyle, TX is only a couple of hours from her home in Houston.

Kristin Bumbera's first NASCAR Whelen Series race of the season at All American Speedway in Roseville, CA Saturday night was a rough one but she hung in there and gave a large group of TXI-Riverside Cement guests quite a show. A field of 22 cars started out of the 26 who attempted to qualify.

KRISTIN BUMBERA TO DRIVE IN TWO NASCAR SERIES’ IN 2008

Houston, TX January 21, 2008 - NASCAR announced today during the NASCAR08Kristin_with_helmet.jpg (55984 bytes) Media Tour in Charlotte, NC that 20 year old Kristin Bumbera from Houston, TX will join Golden State Racing owned by Frank Jordan of Roseville, CA. Bumbera will drive the #00 for the successful west coast team in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series for a minimum of 18 races. Golden State Racing, the reigning NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Champion also holds the championship trophy for the 2006 SRL Wild West Shootout Series and since it’s formation in 2002 has won the NASCAR Weekly Series Championship, the California State Open Comp Championship and are three time Champions at Shasta Raceway Park’s Win River 150. Bumbera joins GSR teammates Eric Schmidt and John Moore as the season kicks off on April 5, 2008 in Roseville, CA.

Kristin Bumbera, driver of the TXI-MAXIMIZER CONCRETE Monte Carlo continues her march to the top of the points battle in the Houston Motorsports Park ASA Pro Late Model Division. Due to a full field inversion by point standings Bumbera started in 11th position out of a respectable field of 16 drivers. It was a slow and difficult start for her as she got hung out on the outside.

FOR A ROUGH 8TH PLACE FINISH

HOUSTON, TX April 23, 2007 – Saturday nights 75 lap Pro Late Model feature seemed that it would never end for Kristin Bumbera, driver of the #00 TXI-MAXIMIZER CONCRETE Chevrolet. Bumbera’s first stroke of bad luck came when she drew the 15th starting position out of the unusually large field of 21 cars. The lineup was made with the fastest cars at the rear of the field which caused numerous cautions and even one red flag stopping the race to pull one car off the top of another one. With more than half of the race expiring under the caution flag Bumbera had very little racing time to make up positions.

Kristin Bumbera, Pro Late Model Driver, won the main event Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Houston Motorsports Park (HMP). The “Delmar Systems 100 Spectacular” proved to be the longest race so far this season at HMP and attracted the largest field of racecars. Bumbera who started the race from the pole position led the field to the starting line and never looked back. The race was stopped several times for caution laps due to several incidences happening back in the pack.

Kristin Bumbera Dominant at HMP

Houston, TX (May 8, 2006) – 18-year-old female, Kristin Bumbera, from Sealy, Texas driving the Texas Industries-sponsored 2006 Bumbera’s PerformanceTXI1big.jpg (170680 bytes) Associates Chevy Monte Carlo, scored her first Pro Late Model Feature win of the 2006 season at Houston Motorsports Park on Saturday night May 6th. 

Starting on the pole in the 50 lap feature event, Bumbera was challenged early by veteran late-model pilot Kirby Honeycutt as they kept the fans in the stands on their feet with some exciting side-by side racing on the high-banked 3/8’s mile asphalt oval. Kristin, a college freshman majoring in Psychology – Crime Scene Investigations, then took the men “back to school” by running away from Honeycutt and the rest of the field and maintaining a half-lap lead until lap 45 when the first caution flag came out.

KRISTIN BUMBERA Texas' 16 Year Old Rookie of the Year 

Kristin Bumbera only turned 16 this month and hasTXI6big.jpg (149232 bytes) already captured her first big title of her young racing career. She was crowned the 2003 ROOKIE OF THE YEAR for the Houston Motorsports Park Late Model Series after the final race of the season Saturday, October 25th. 

Bumbera's racing experience began on a smaller scale at the age of 8 in a dirt-track go-kart and progressed through Super Mini-Cup race cars. Although 2003 was her first season in a full size late model race car she was not intimidated by the drastic increase in size or speed.
